Nintendo NES

Siamo ancora nella terza età dell’oro dei videogiochi l’era degli 8-BIT che compresa in un decennio dal 1980 al 1990, nel quale emerge una straordinaria evoluzione dell’era Video games.
Il Giappone entra ufficialmente nel mercato elettronico del video gioco e più precisamente nel mondo family (famiglia), viene creato il Nintendo Entertainment System comunemente chiamato NES, corre l’anno 1983 in Giappone, ma la console comparì negli stati uniti solo all’inizio del 1985, mentre da noi in italia arrivo solo nel 1987.

Pazzesco i videogiochi da casa cambiarono per sempre, anche perchè assieme al NES nacque Super Mario, a memoria direi il primo vero gioco Platform (piattaforma scorrevole) che catturò tutti grandi e piccini, in oltre il NES aveva la particolarità che i suoi giochi erano gli stessi identici che si potevano trovare in versione Cabinet Coin-op delle sale giochi.
Una console semplice compatta con un costo contenuto, meno di un un Comodore 64, ma più di un Atari 2600, la sua memoria RAM di soli 4 Kb la metteva parecchi gradini sopra all’Atari 2600, ma ben sotto al commodore 64, ma questa fu un evoluzione particolare, in fatti la Nintendo fu tra le prime a capire assieme all’Atari che una console doveva essere a sistema chiuso, dedicata solo al lavoro per cui era progettata, ovvero riprodurre alla perfezione i giochi sviluppati per essa, tutto il resto era superfluo.
In commercio fino al 1995 vendette oltre 60 ML di esemplari il doppio dell’ Atari 2600.[/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”CURIOSITA'” color=”sky”][vc_column_text]Lo sapevi che la Nintendo chiese ad Atari di commercializzare il NES, ma che successe una cosa che fece la fortuna della Nintendo?

Per il mercato mondiale Nintendo aveva preso contatti con Atari affinché si occupasse della commercializzazione della console al di fuori del Giappone. L’accordo prevedeva che il sistema sarebbe stato distribuito con il nome Atari e che la società avrebbe pagato i diritti per la produzione della console a Nintendo. I rappresentanti delle due società si incontrarono diverse volte al Consumer Electronics Show del 1983, stabilendo le basi dell’accordo. Dopo tre giorni di trattative, quando solo gli ultimi dettagli dovevano essere finalizzati, alcuni dirigenti Atari si imbatterono nello stand della Coleco in una conversione del gioco Donkey Kong per il loro nuovo home computer Coleco Adam. Questo fece infuriare Atari perché essa aveva acquistato da Nintendo i diritti per la versione del gioco per gli home computer (con il floppy disk come supporto) mentre Coleco deteneva i diritti per produrre soltanto la versione a cartuccia per le proprie console ColecoVision ed aveva convertito Donkey Kong per l’Adam a scopo dimostrativo. I dirigenti Atari immaginarono che i giapponesi stessero vendendo i diritti in loro possesso a più società contemporaneamente e quindi interruppero le trattative con Nintendo. La rottura delle trattative con Atari spinse Nintendo a cercare un nuovo distributore ma dopo più di un anno di infruttuose ricerche la società decise di commercializzare in proprio la console.
